GENERAL INFORMATION

The 56th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene (CCFH56) will be held from 16–20 November 2026 at Doubletree Resort by Hilton Hotel Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Arizona, United States of America. The opening session will start at 9:30 Mountain Standard Time (MST) on Monday, 16 November 2026. Discussion sessions will take place on 16-18 November 2026. The adoption of the Report will take place on Friday 20 November 2026. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, French and Spanish during the meeting. WORKING GROUP

The physical working groups (PWGs) will take place on 15 and 16 November as follows:

Sunday, 15 November 2026 (9.00-11:00 Mountain Standard Time (MST)): Proposed revision of the Guidelines on the application of general principles of food hygiene to the control of pathogenic Vibrio species in seafood (CXG 73-2010)

Sunday, 15 November 2026 (11:00-13:00 MST): Alignment of Codex texts developed by CCFH with the revised General principles of food hygiene (CXC 1-1969)

Sunday, 15 November 2026 (15:00-17:00 MST): Proposed draft revision of the Guidelines on the application of general principles of food hygiene to the control of viruses in food (CXG 79-2012)

Monday, 16 November 2026 (16.30-18.00 MST): CCFH work priorities (New work proposals/forward workplan). WEB CASTING

If you only intend to follow the webcast, you can just access the link on this webpage that will be made available right before the meeting. Do not register on the ORS, which is only required for those travelling to Arizona.
